Position: Permanent, Full Time (37.5 Hours per Week)
Location: Birmingham
We are looking for a highly motivated Assistant Bid Writer to join a succesful main contractor in Birmingham. You will play a key role in supporting the Bid Proposals Team (across both refurbishment and new build projects) by assisting in the creation of clear, compelling, and high-quality responses for winning tender submissions that showcase the client's expertise.
In this role, you will assist in achieving business objectives by supporting the bid writing function. Key responsibilities will include:
- Contributing to the securing of new projects.
- Submitting compliant Selection Questionnaires (SQs) and crafting high-quality responses to Invitations to Tender (ITTs).
- Building strong internal relationships to support business goals.
- Assisting in the creation of marketing and communications materials, including PR content, website updates, articles, and newsletters.
As an Assistant Bid Writer, you will work alongside our Bid Writer, preparing and submitting Supplier Questionnaires, Tenders, and Bid Documentation. You will collaborate with various team members, including the Partnership Director, to provide innovative solutions for customer needs. Your role will involve producing concise, focused, and logical proposals within tight deadlines, ensuring all documentation meets company policies and standards.
The ideal candidate will be IT literate, with excellent project management, organisational skills, and proficiency in Adobe InDesign. You should be a creative thinker with experience in bid writing, bid assessments, and proofreading. Familiarity with relevant industry regulations, social housing planned maintenance, public funding sources, and procurement routes will be highly advantageous.
