Technical Manager - Cardiff
Technical Manager - An exciting opportunity for an experienced Technical Manager to join a successful housing developer in the Cardiff area.
Reporting to the Regional Development Director, you will be responsible for managing and ensuring the effective delivery of mixed tenure residential developments from a technical perspective. You will be a strong communicator, confident in leading meetings and presenting to clients, senior leadership, and all levels of the business.
About the Role
The role involves the technical management and timely progression of mixed tenure residential projects from pre-start stage to physical start on site, as well as providing support during the build phase. You will be familiar with and able to:
- Coordinate and manage the design team and specialist subcontractors.
- Manage design interfaces between packages.
- Technically evaluate scheme proposals, ensuring planning and building control matters are addressed.
- Assess new building products and legislation.
You will have previous experience in a similar role, with residential new build experience in both private sale and social housing markets. Strong leadership qualities and skills are essential. Additionally, we ask that you hold a degree qualification and/or professional membership in the Building or Civil Engineering field, which is a requirement for the role.
